With regular volunteers in the state, we reached out to fellow Arizona clinicians for monthly meet-ups. Why Arizona when Cecile lives in New Jersey? Because NJ already had strong low-carb clinician offerings courtesy of Doctor Tro et al.
Diane Weissman went through Keto doctors near me: all of the 20+ directories, built a spreadsheet, and visited all of their websites. Then she emailed all 60 AZ low-carb practitioners inviting them to a virtual meet up. Frankly, many of them had outdated information or were not accepting new patients. The week before Cecile cold-called them all with personal invitations. If interested, we then mailed them monthly meeting invitations/reminders.
Practitioners began meeting in May 2021. After 6 months we also started offering a monthly meet-ups for consumers. Our presentations are detailed below and on AZ Low Carb’s YouTube channel.
All were free, virtual events. We are hoping for an in-person event in the Fall of 2022. If you’d like to join any event then please RSVP to AZLowCarb@gmail.com. A link will be sent the day of virtual events.
